What is an ISIC Card?
ISIC is the only internationally accepted student ID card and proof of current student status in existence. There is also the International Teacher Identity Card (ITIC) and the International Youth Travel Card (IYTC). ISIC Card
The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is your passport to fantastic discounts and services at home and around the world.
The ISIC card is the only internationally-recognized student ID and ISIC card holders are members of a truly global club. Every year more than 4.5 million students from 120 countries use their student card to take advantage of offers on travel, shopping, museums and more, worldwide.
You will use your ISIC card to save money as you travel the world on a well deserved break from college. And it’s just as useful back home. Keep it in your pocket wherever you go – it will come in handy time and time again.
Any full-time student aged 12 years and over, at high school, college or university is eligible for an ISIC card. As long as you are a student, it does not matter whether you are 12 or 112. To get your ISIC card all you need to do is contact our offices and bring in a copy of your university or student card, which is dated and clearly indicates you are currently a full-time student, and a signed and dated status letter on official university or school stationery, which states you are a full-time student. We would prefer an original copy, but photocopies and faxes may be acceptable also a recent passport-sized photo and an official proof of your date of birth… And you will have your card in no time at all.
IYTC/ITIC Cards
With an IYTC youth card or ITIC teacher card you are still part of the great ISIC global community with around 4.5 million users. You can take advantage of thousands of similar benefits, services and savings that the ISIC student card offers, at home and away. Do not forget to carry your card around with you!
Anyone aged under 26 can get an International Youth Travel Card (IYTC), giving you youth discounts on anything from plane tickets to cinema tickets.
Or if you are now working as a full-time teacher or professor, you can enjoy teacher discounts with the International Teacher Identity Card (ITIC).
To get an International Youth Travel Card you need to present:
- One of the following documents that identifies you and proves your age:
- Passport;
- Birth Certificate;
- An official identity card issued by the official authorities.
- A passport sized photo
To get a International Teacher Identity Card you need to present:
- A letter on official school or university stationery confirming that you are employed at a recognized educational establishment for a minimum of 18 hours per week and for a minimum of one academic year.
- An official identification document such as:
- Passport;
- Birth Certificate;
- An official identity card issued by the official authorities.
- A passport sized photo
Getting your Card
There are 3 simple process in which you can obtain your Card of your preference: Purchase it at our Office, Pay for it directly at the bank, and by purchasing it online through Money Bookers.
- Purchasing it at our office is the more direct way, where you can get to interact with the Global Choices team.
- Paying for it at the bank is another way where it can be more to your convenience. You can use The Bank of Nova Scotia or Jamaica National Building Society. Please contact our office for bank details.
